Have you ever wondered how Muslims in Morocco break their Ramadan fast at the end of the day?
Are you visiting Morocco during this month and wanting to gain a little more cultural understanding?
You’re in Luck!
We’ve put together a very special offer! You’re invited into a Moroccan home to experience the traditional fast breaking, get to know some locals and of course eat some really great food. This is a culturally and culinary immersive experience that we’re really excited to share with visitors to Marrakech!
What’s on the Menu?
Chances are there will be variation depending on what the family decides to prepare but some of the traditional Ramadan iftar food items include;
- Dates and stuffed dates
- harira soup with hard boiled eggs- a tomato based soup with chickpeas and lentils
- msemmen traditional and stuffed – flaky flatbreads
- chbekia – a homemade anise based pastry
- variety of fresh juices
- briouats – filo dough stuffed with different, spiced fillings (cheese, chicken, ground beef to name a few)
- Sellou – a special sweet made during Ramadan
- Beghrir – Moroccan pancakes with a variety of toppings
- grilled meats
Remember these are just some of the things that could be served in any combination.
Please note this experience is not adaptable for those with dietary restrictions. We are unable to accommodate if you have very specific dietary needs. However, if you’re open to going with the flow, there should be options for everyone.
Your ticket to attend also includes transportation to and from the home. Once your purchased, your ticket will have further information on meeting place for transportation.
Seats are limited and tickets are $45 per person.
