You will be hosted by a local family at their home.

Children are allowed and welcome on this tour!

Be judicious with photography and always ask your hosts beforehand.

Please dress modestly for this experience out of respect for locals.

Your driver will pick you up from your Marrakech accommodation in the morning to begin your drive to the valley. Along the way you’ll get your first glimpses of the High Atlas Mountains including snow capped peaks depending on the time of year.

Arrive at your hosts home and take a short walk through the village to the family home. Enjoy a fresh breakfast of all local products before you take a longer walk through the villages and valley (optional). Before lunch visit the historic 12th century Tin Mal mosque as well as see how clay tajines are made – and possibly try your hand at making them as well.

After you’ve worked up an appetite return to the family home and dig into a delicious home cooked lunch with seasonal products. Your driver will return to bring you back to Marrakech.

This experience truly gives you an opportunity to see life in a Berber village. Please be respectful of the locals who live here by dressing modestly and only taking pictures if you ask your host first.

Return time to Marrakech is in the evening between 5 and 7pm depending on how long you walk and meal time.

Have questions? Here's the most frequently asked.

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Because we operate very small group tours it is very important that we have an accurate count ahead of time. When you purchase your ticket you have the option of including insurance on your ticket. This is offered by an outside company that we have partnered with. If you are worried that you may need to cancel your tour please review this and consider purchasing.

If your tour is under 2 weeks away and you need to cancel we can not offer you a refund or exchange. Please consider this when making your reservation.

Are children allowed?

Children are allowed on our tours. We would love to have them join us!

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.

Do I need to tip?

Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory.

What do we do in case of bad weather?

The tours are held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, we will do our best to avoid exposure. Marrakech has sunshine most days of the year so this is a very limited possibility.  However, we advise to check the weather conditions for your days event and dress appropriately. Also keep in mind evenings especially in winter can get quite cold, bring a sweater or jacket!
